Woo Hoo and Thankfulness 65/365

A couple of woo-hoos today.  First, I have reached day 65 so only 300 left....woo hoo.  Second, I made a light box that I was able to take the above picture in.  Now, the positive is that I was able to take a picture because it was a rainy, gray day here and I am not sure I would have gotten a picture otherwise. The negative is that the only lights I have in my house are Ott-lights and they don't give off enough light which is why the background above is gray (at least I think that is the reason).  I will need to play more but woo-hoo for a light box!!

Today I am thankful for the people on the internet that are so generous with their ideas, tips, tricks,etc.  I first read how to make a light box over on PG's blog and he got it from over at Strobist I had questions and I emailed PG and he so very kindly took the time to answer my questions.  So thanks Pat, I really do appreciate it!

Jug Bridge Monument and Thankfulness 63/365

The above monument is called the Jug Bridge Monument and if you are interested you can read about it here.  It is a marker here in Frederick, MD that we have driven by it  a ton of times but never knew what it was so today we decided to pull over and read about it and take pictures.  I think it is great that they saved this bridge marker.

Today I am thankful for weekends.  I am still not back to 100% and we had a ton to do today so I am feeling very run down and plan on sleeping in tomorrow.  Woo-hoo!

trees and thankfrul 62/365

I really liked the way this looked with the floor of leaves with little baby Christmas trees popping up and the the bare tree trunks. 

Today I am thankful that it stopped raining so a friend and I could spend some time together at a craft show.

still sick and thankfulness 59/365

This is a very boring picture of leaves that have been raked but not picked up. Hopefully this weekend. 

I am still sick and did not leave the house again today.....which equals no decent pictures.

Today I am thankful for a job that allows me to be sick and take the time I need to heal without aggravation.

The BOSU and thankfulness 58/365

The picture above was taken at Physical Therapy tonight.  I went because it was my last night and I needed to be done.  The thing I am on is called a BOSU (Both Sides Up) and is a special kind of torture for people like me (very uncoordinated)  the bottom is round like half a ball and you are supposed to go front to back and side to side and in circles.  I laugh my butt off on this thing because I feel like I am going to fall off all the time. So good-bye P.T. and good-bye BOSU.

Tonight I am thankful for my family.  Earlier I called my parents to check in and see how everything was going.  My dad answered the phone, which is rare, and he talked for maybe 15 minutes, which is super rare but it was a fun talk and we laughed a lot.  It made me happy, very happy. 

Rainy day and thankfulness 54/365

Today was a windy, rainy day in Washington D.C.. The above picture is the U.S. Capitol taken through the window of my shuttle on the way to work this morning.

I read on a blog that there is a prompt going around facebook that every day until Thanksgiving you should post what you are thankful for in your status and since I don't have a facebook account I thought I would try to do it here on my blog. Today I am thankful for the shuttle bus drivers who drive in all kinds of weather so I don't have to walk in lousy weather....thank you!!
