Being Neighborly

One of our neighbors just had a baby so it was time to make a dinner so that they would at least have a meal where they didn't have to do all the work.  So we made stuffed shells, garlic butter, bought a loaf of bread and wrapped up some Saltine Toffee.  I tend to make stuffed shells or a chicken dish when it comes to making dishes for life's events for friends and family.  Do you have a special dish you make when bringing food to friends or family?  If so please let me know what is it and if you have a favorite recipe I would love to have it so I can expand my list of "to-go" meals.  Is this something you do in your neighborhood or has life's busyness gotten in the way?
Here is what the meal looked like just before I walked out the door with it to bring to our neighbors.  I hope they enjoyed it.
