P52 - week 30

Several years ago on an early morning drive up to PA my friend and I swore we saw a zebra grazing in a field. However, since it was a foggy morning and zebras aren't known to be farm animals here in Maryland we wrote it off as we needed more caffeine.  A little while later I read a newspaper article about Zoey the zebra and her new home at the farm we passed.  Too funny.  Before this week I only saw her one other time off in the distance.  Saturday was my lucky day there she was in the field and we had time to turn around and try to get some pictures.   When we got closer we realized she was not alone.  She was with Zach her son who is a zedonk (zebra mother, donkey father) and another animal.

Here is Zoey and Zach, aren't they adorable?

and here is a picture of just Zoey

I am happy she wasn't just an apparition on that foggy morning years ago.

Be sure and check out the other players over on Kent's website.

  1. The zedonk looks a lot like an okapi.
