People Pictures - exercise 6

For some reason I can't seem to post my photos on Mondays, I promise to do better.

This week's exercise deals with the concept of less is more.  We were to choose a subject and without any props take a portrait using natural light.

I chose to take a portrait of my husband for several reasons but one is that I don't have enough pictures of him.  This portrait shoot had an additional benefit in that I got a picture of him laughing sitting in front of our home.  This may not seem like a big deal to most people but for us this is huge.  We lost our home, car and cat to a fire last year and it has been a long time since I seen my husband laugh and for him to be doing it in front of our re-built home is priceless to me.  I love you honey.

  2. I love this picture of your husband. It's so playful. Thanks for you comments on my blog. I created a new line of cards with the new mixed media pieces. I also have a line of photography cards as well.

  3. I have a question for you. It might sound stupid but when I click publish below it post the comment right away. People have said to me that they have difficulty posting comments on my blog. Is there a setting that I should change so that it's as easy as your blog?

  7. It makes me want to hug you! He looks like just the right kind of guy to get through something like this. I am full of admiration how you came through this - I would have cracked, I think. Love the photo of your husband - I also don't have enough images of mine. I should go right now and change that...

  8. What a photo to treasure. It warms my heart that through these joyful moments you are finding yourselves on the other side of the misery. Here's to many more laughs... and more portraits of our spouses!
