Windows on the world

I have posted here several times my love of Union Station's architecture and the other day I had a few minutes before my train left to take a few pictures.  I really liked the way the windows in the ceiling look like they are looking out on the world.

I also love the design within each window and the separation after every 3 rows of windows.  What do you think?

  1. I like it as well.. cool lines. Isn't it amazing that when we look closely at something we pass everyday, sometimes we notice new things. I really enjoy looking at your photos and the architecture of Union station. Where is that located?

  2. Aquashell - Union Station is located in Washington, DC and is used for Amtrak, the MARC train (Maryland commuter train), VRE (the Virginia commuter train) and metro (our subway) and also houses a food court, restaurants and various stores.
