P52 - week 4

This week's theme for P52 is self-portrait.  I have to admit that other than a shot while getting my haircut I think this may be my very first self-portrait.  I originally wanted to take it outside with natural light.  Unfortunately, the weather this week did not cooperate.  Lots of rain and today we have strong winds.  So here is my attempt at an inside self-portrait.

Make sure you check out the other P52ers (I know that is not a word but it sounds fun, right?)

  2. Beautiful shot. Looks like something you would see on the jacket of a book well done. Have not attempted mine yet hopefully this weekend.

  3. @Gardening in a Sandbox - Thank you very much. My in-laws gave me the scarf as a Christmas present and it added a nice touch of color.

@Stampmouse - Wow. You are so kind. I rarely have pictures taken with me in them (most of those are shot by you...grin) let alone a selfie so this was a stretch for me but it was fun to break out the tripod and remote.

  4. Self-portrait?? You look pretty relaxed!
I like the lighting, even for an inside shot. The contrast between your shiny hair/dark shirt and your fair skin is really lovely.

  5. I love your P52 shots... so glad I linked over from Eat 2 Gather. I just took a photo lesson (gift from Christmas) this past week and am FINALLY out of auto mode. Though only shooting in manual for now, it's a start and I'm loving it. May even finally join in with P52. :-) I love your shots and am moved by the shot of your husband and kittens. I'm sorry for your loss and am happy that you are in a good place now. Your kittens are adorable.

  6. Beautiful. The scarf brought the attention right to your smile. I love the light, too.

  7. I agree with stampmouse that your self-portraint looks like an author picture for a book.
