A visit from the blimp 26/365

When Arthur came home from work he let me the know the blimp was outside (I couldn't hear it with all the windows and doors shut) and as seems to be the case lately I was on the phone so thanks Alissa for letting me call you back so I could run outside and take a few pictures. Unfortunately the electrical line was in 2/3 of the pictures and the only one without the electrical line had the blimp flying away from me. I am hoping the blimp is a sign of things to come and that it will be a good year starting now...we could all use it.

  1. And, thank you for hanging up so I could go avenge crime. (hahahahahahahaha) Not every day you see a blimp, nice shot.

  3. I like what PG did with cutting out the powerline.

  4. Me too! I wish I knew how to cut out the power lines and he made it look nice and crisp. I posted a comment on his blog so hopefully he will email me with tips for photoshop. I just got it and don't know how to use it...grin.

  5. I don't have any great knowledge to impart. I have been learning by trial and error mostly.

I would say that if you go to your library and see if they have any photoshop tutorial books that might be a good start - make sure you get one that is specific to your version.

If nothing there it might be worth a trip to Borders to see what they have.

I wish I had some wisdom to impart.

What I did (in Photoshop CS3) was to use the healing brush and just ran it over the power line. It worked well as the area surrounding the power line was pretty uniformly gray sky.
