Handmade gifts

I love to make handmade gifts for Christmas.  Unfortunately, I can't make everyone on my list something  but I try to make some of my gifts each year.  Sadly, I forgot to take a picture of the purse I made my sister-in-law but here is quilt I made my dad:

Hostess Gift Idea

Earlier this week I was trying to think of an idea for a hostess gift and then I remembered these coasters I saw earlier in the year and bookmarked just for this purpose.  So tonight I pulled up the bookmark and went to work and made 4 coasters in short order.  Here is the link to the tutorial and I must say she did a wonderful job on the tutorial.  I personally like my coasters a little larger so the next set I will try 5 1/2 inch squares but these are a nice size as well.  Here are the coasters I made tonight.

I have said many times on this blog that the lighting in my house is not good for photography especially with a ZLR camera.  I hoping to get a SLR camera in the new year but these photos will have to do for now.
