Silly Sylvester

Our cat Sylvester can be anywhere in the house and when he hears you making the bed he comes running.  The other day I was making our bed and he ran and jumped on the bed and immediately laid down and stretched out.  I continued making the bed by putting the top sheet on the bed and as you can tell Sylvester wasn't in the mood to move so here he is looking adorable.  This is actually the bottom of our bed and right after I took a couple of pictures he jumped down.

I am glad to see Sylvester is just looking at the tree today after climbing twice yesterday.

Our cat Sylvester loves to be warm so when we turn the heat on every year he lays under the the diverter and the one he seems to prefer is the one in our main bathroom.

What a difference a little paint makes

When we moved in 3 years ago I was so sick of white walls and neutral carpeting from living in apartments that I added a ton of color to our home.  Including our master bedroom which I painted red to go with our white and back quilt and other accessories.  I must admit that even though I love red, white and black together I was not happy with it in our bedroom.  However, I had also learned that my husband and I are not good at painting and that is putting it mildly so yesterday we had someone come in and paint our bedroom.  This time I went with Silvery Moon from Benjamin Moore.  I didn't take a before picture of the color because I thought I had one but couldn't find it as I was writing this post.  Here is one corner of the room with the new color.  We have a small house with small rooms so we moved all the furniture out for the painter to have an easier time of painting. 

We leaned our box spring, mattress, and bed frame on their side so it would fit in another room and Sylvester thought this was a great place to hang out as you can see from this picture.

I am really happy with the new color and we will put the furniture back where it belongs tomorrow.  I am looking forward to see it all together.

Simba and Sylvester never got along so we always kept them separated and now that Simba is gone Sylvester spends time looking for her everywhere.  Closets, under the beds, etc.  This is picture of him just walking around tonight.

What's wrong with this picture? 12/365

So I was walking into the kitchen for something and I had to do a double take because I knew something was amiss on my counter but I wasn't sure what it was until I realized I was looking at my cat Sylvester. Now I am fanatical about cats not being on counters, tables or anywhere else food is being prepared or eaten. So it was extremely odd that not only did I not yell at him to get down but I grabbed my camera and hoped he wouldn't, I guess this 365 project has already made me nuts...hee hee. The interesting thing is that Sylvester wears a bell on his collar and he jumped on this counter without making a noise...he really can be stealth-like so I took the picture and grabbed him off the counter. Crazy cat.

Since you already met Simba aka the Cat Burgular I thought it only fair you meet Sylvester the second half of our feline duo. He would rather be elsewhere but as I didn't get any decent shots today he was going to get his picture taken happy or not. Grin.
