Scavenger Hunt Sunday

You may recall from this post that I want to participate in more Scavenger Hunt Sundays that Ashley Sisk hosts over on her blog Ramblings and Photos.  Unfortunately I wasn't able to participate in the first few of the new year but here is my interpretation of this week's prompts.

Smile

I am reusing my selfie that I used for my P52 this week.



Stand Alone

This is one of kittens we adopted in December and it is rare that he is not sitting with his brother.



Rusty or Something Old

Yesterday my husband and I went out for a ride looking for pictures for this Scavenger Hunt Sunday and we ran across this cool rusty thing...not sure what it was but I enjoyed photographing it.



Artificial

This was a tough one for me this week but I got this one from a distance of artificial snow on the ski slopes.




Repeating Pattern

This orchard had nice repeating lines of trees.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday #2

I enjoyed participating in last week's Scavenger Hunt Sunday so much that I decided to participate again this week.  Thanks to Ashley for hosting over at Ramblings and Photos.  This week's themes are SOOC, Sprouting, Isn't It Ironic, Lazy and Smells Like Spring.  Here are my interpretations of the themes.

1.  SOOC - I took this photo yesterday at the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival.  This is a llama that I thought was adorable.  I only added my watermark and resized for the web for this straight out of the camera (SOOC) shot.




2.  Sprouting - here is another picture from the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival.  This little guy is 2 weeks old, his name is Romeo and you can see his horns are already sprouting.




3.  Isn't It Ironic - I had a really hard time with this one.  I had an idea but couldn't get the photo so last night while we were downtown walking a bride and groom just showed up in front of us and I thought it was ironic that there were tons of people downtown just enjoying the day and they looked up to see a groom helping his new wife walk down the road.



4.  Lazy - last night we went to First Saturday in Frederick and when we walked into one of the art shows I found Dulce hanging out on her back just waiting for people to come by and scratch her belly.  I don't know if she was lazy or just smart because lots of people stopped by and gave her great belly rubs.  She totally lives up to her name, she is one sweet dog.



5.  Smells Like Spring  - I originally wanted to photograph cut grass but it rained almost every day this week so no one was out cutting their lawn this week including my husband.  So I went with my second idea which is the smell of rain.  These are raindrops on one of our hostas.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

Ashley over at Ramblings and Photos hosts a photo scavenger hunt every Sunday and it has been a goal of mine to participate and today I finally realize that goal!!  This week's items are Architecture, Rimmed with Light, Toes/Feet, This is my favorite..., and Shade(s).  Here is my take on the items, I hope you like them.

1. Architecture - I took this last night of a church in town that I have been wanting to get a picture of at night.

2.  Rimmed with Light - I look up this technique on-line since I wasn't familiar and quite honestly since I have been sick for the last 2 weeks decided that this was a technique to practice another time.  I look forward to seeing what the other participants did with this one.

3.  Toes/Feet - since my foot is still in a boot I decided to re-post this picture since my feet look exactly the same.

4.  My Favorite....  I chose my favorite plant since it is starting to grow now and I can't wait until it blooms.  This is a Baptisia also known as False Indigo and when my friend and gardening mentor Michael and I walked around the U.S. Botanic Garden I kept stopping every time I saw this plant so he suggested I buy some for my own garden and I did just that.  It takes about 5 years to really set in your garden and this is my 3rd year and it look great so far.

5.  Shade(s)  These are my husband and my sunglasses and my least favorite of the pictures but I took it quickly this morning so I could participate in the Scavenger Hunt Sunday.

 All of these are SOOC with either a crop and the addition of my watermark or just the watermark.  I am not really comfortable with Photoshop Elements yet to do other things but I will work on it.
